Door Latches

Jeff Stander on Beatrix has installed new push latches throughout the boat. They are LAMP latches, made by Sugastune, a company that manufactures a lot of stainless stuff suitable for boats. This particular latch is the chrome PKL-08 push latch. Full Installation details are available.

Before.
The old finger breaking, knuckle-cracking spring latch inside the hole.

After.
Installation of Sugatsune chrome push latch. When pushed in the door is locked solidly. When released (by pushing on the latch) it is held by a detent.

The three styles available.
We chose Chrome. The bases are sold separately so it's your choice of black or white. From the Sugatsune website.
